Dr. Deborah S. Miller, Ed.D. Meet Dr. Miller
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Board Certified Counselor specializing in counseling children and adolescents, adults, families and couples. I conduct workshops nationally to health professionals, parents and young people. I also works for a suburban school district conducting weekly psycho-educational groups for at-risk adolescents on topics of substance abuse, anger management, and character education. I volunteer as a co-director of the Empowering Young Women Conference (for adolescents) and Girl Talk/Girl Power (a conference for fifth graders) both sponsored by the University of Missouri-St. Louis. I am also on the board of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) and the Center for Speech and Hearing. Over the past twenty-five years, I have worked primarily in public schools as a counselor, special education teacher and administrator, substance abuse prevention specialist, and university professor.
