Dr. Deborah S. Miller, Ed.D. National Board Certified Counselor
Meet Dr. Miller
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Board Certified Counselor specializing in counseling children and adolescents, adults, families and couples. I have been in private practice for 15 years.
Over the past thirty-five years, I have worked primarily in public schools as a counselor, special education teacher and administrator, substance abuse prevention specialist, and university professor. I conducted workshops nationally to health professionals, parents and young people. I also worked for a suburban school district conducting weekly psycho-educational groups for at-risk adolescents on topics of substance abuse, anger management, and character education.
As a volunteer, I was co-director of the Empowering Young Women Conference (for adolescents) and Girl Talk/Girl Power (a conference for fifth graders) for the past 17 years. I have also led Kirkwood’s 5th Grade Wellness Festival for the past 8 years. I also served on the board of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill-St. Louis (NAMI) and the Center for Hearing and Speech.
